Tuesdays Ta-Dah - Ganesha Poncho

Today's little (or big) ta-dah was made with loads of love and intent and it came about quite by accident as I was feeling under the weather and while I was itching to hook a little something, my fuzzy head was really not up to any of the more difficult projects I had on the go.

I remembered I had this "little" poncho on my list of things to do and well rather than making it for someone little I thought I would use up my odd balls of yarn and make a big something for myself. :-)

keeping warm while still stitching :-)

I am calling it the Ganesha Poncho as I have been going through a bit of healing lately and singing mantra's have been part of the process in getting my mind along the healthy path as well as my body. This poncho was hooked along largely with songs to Ganesha and also "healing" mantras in general.

I found the pattern on Ravelry, you can find it over here if you would like to check it out. It was really easy and once you have made the foundation rows (2 rows) its all just going round and round till you feel you are finished. Too easy!

I love my poncho...yes I do! Its so warm and filled with loving intent. Makes me feel all squishy inside.

I was all for going outside and doing a proper photo shoot but there was no-one available to take pics outside in the cold. awwwww So please excuse the mess behind me there, that would be my kids homework pile. Assignments are on the agenda this week big time. ;-)

Have a beautiful day!

Sidewalk Shawl Progress

Hi everyone,

This is a short post, lest I never get around to posting at all. Busy Busy Busy down here lately but hoping to get more organised soon. :-)

So here are some pictures of my progress on the Sidewalk Shawl which I am crocheting for the CAL project on our Everything Zen group on Ravelry.

I am using 10ply Luxury Yarn from Bendigo Woollen Mills in Autumn Glow which looks like a dark burnt orange colour even though the pics look a bit more red. I was a little worried about the bunching up to start with as this yarn was not the recommended yarn but I am hoping it will stretch out nicely in the end.

Its a nice project to work on and is whipping up fast despite the fact that I have had to rip back several rows twice now due to distractions and leaving out just one stitch. Woopsy ;-P

I also have a FO and an almost FO to show this week. That is of course if I can find the time to blog more often. LOL Well at least I am finally catching up with other things that need doing or finishing hey?

Hope all is well for you and yours. Love and Light.

Big hugs and smoochies xoxoxox

Little things....

Hello lovelies,

Wow, its been a whole month since I posted here. How time flies.

The trip to Bali was fun and I even managed to cram in a couple of crochet sessions with the lovely Ida who I told you all about before. She was very excited to receive her learn to crochet book with full picture steps for every pattern along with a bag of cotton to practice with. I am hoping it will help her branch out a bit more with her projects. I also took a little dress for her to copy which she really loved. She likes to crochet clothes for dolls to sell.

I made this little purse while I was there too. Just a quick little something to do. :-)

Since I got back I have not had much time to work on my projects. First my son, the one who was away when everyone else got sick, came down with the flu bugs after returning to school, then of course he gave it to me! I finally was unable to ward off the germs any longer and have been sick all week. After one day of laying in bed with shocking headaches, I got up and tried to soldier on as mums do and while my hands were just itching to get into those unfinished projects, I did not want to make mistakes with my sludgy head so I did what seemed like a marvellous idea at the time and .....

I started yet another project! LOL I needed to do something with my hands and this seemed like the perfect project and a way to use up some of those left over balls of yarn I had laying about with no projects in mind for them. So its going to be a poncho. I will share the details in another post. Once I get completely better and catch up on a little house work etc. I will finally I hope get around to writing up my list of projects for the year and share whats going on with all my other projects right now.

Looking forward to getting back into the swing of things. Happy crafting everyone.
