WIP Wednesday

Quick update today as I have so much to do and a house with 2 sick people in it now.  :-(  My hubby has succumbed to the virus also. Eeek. We are due to fly out to Bali on Monday so I do so hope its not the same thing.  Z has been sick for three days now although improving. Yours truly is feeling a bit icky but refusing so far to give in to it. I don't have time to be sick! NO NO NO

First up we have the progress on the long crocheted coat for my daughter, who by the way is 22 years old today.  How time flies.....Here is a picture of us together from a while ago. Her hair is much longer now.

I was having a bit of an uh oh moment as I counted the rows and while it measured up exactly width wise, the height is way out of line.  Woops. According to the pattern after 52 rows I should be at the neck decrease. I am however only about half way as long as I thought it should look so am more than likely going to have to order more yarn which means double the cost. Oh well, we live and learn. I probably should have just bought the Noro in the first place. But this yarn is so so nice and squishy and well I like it. :-)

Of course with all that crochet going on, all 72  rows of it so far, I was very much feeling the need to do a little knitting. So I got out my needles (four pairs to be exact) and started yet another project. I know, I know, I really don't have time for this but I clearly could not help myself now could I?

This little lovely starts out on 4mm needles and switches sizes as one goes. Odd way of doing it but less decreasing needed at the end. My camera really is mucking up a bit. Just look at the colour difference in these pictures. Bizarre. I don't have time to play around with the so they will have to do. The colour is more like one on top, 5ply Heirloom wool.

The pattern is from the Ulimate Book of Baby Knits and is so far very easy to follow. I have had absolutely no time for crafting today. But now while my sick people are sleeping I am going to tackle the accounts.

Hugs and smoochies all,

Have a beautiful day.

    1. Why thank you. You are too sweet. I was pretty young when she was born. Only just 21 and she was my second child. :-)

  6. I think width is way more important as it's related to gauge. Height can be adjusted, yeah? The colors are so fun and will terrific on your daughter.
Your 22 year old is beautiful! I love her 'do! I wish I had thick hair. Mine is frightfully baby fine and will go flat from a night of sleeping.
