My week......

In between crochet projects last week there was a little bit of knitting and op-shopping and wonderful book deliveries... yes I had a bit of a shopping spree at the the book depository and have added to my collection.......

*100 Flowers to Knit and Crochet (Lesley Stanfield)
*Gifted (Mans Kandis)
*Cute and Easy Baby Gifts (Susie Johns)
* Sacred Plant Medicine (Stephen Harrod Buhner)
* Plant Spirit Healing (Pam Montgomery)

I have already knitted a little sweater from the Gifted book as I borrowed it from the library. I want to add some felted details before showing it though.  Meanwhile I have been working on a sweater for myself, small portion of which is in the top picture.

I still need to get to the sewing part of this little project as it is holding up my trip to the post office...norty me!

I found this half done project when looking for wool the other day. And of course I used a fair bit of the wool in my baby hoody so not sure if I will have enough to finish it. Woops. I will at least try to turn it into a vest or short sleeved cardigan though.

And I made myself a new headband, excuse the shoddy picture but it as the best I could do pre-coffee this morning. LOL

What are you working on right now? I am pretty keen to start a couple more baby projects but am really beginning to see that I need to finish all the half made ones first. There are still several more sitting around that I need to get too! Oh dear!

Have a beautiful week everyone!

Hugs and smoochies xoxoxoxxo

  1. Looks like you have been busy, although I hate it when I run out of wool in the midst of things! Although my crocheting seems to be on the decline again

    1. Really? I thought you had been churning out loads of lovely squares! I have my up and down times too. Sometimes I will go ages without doing anything and then I will not be able to put it down for weeks. Bit addictive really. :-)

  2. Everything looks so lovely! What cool book finds.
I finally started on a sleeve for my cardi; this project has been giving me the big, hairy eyeball stare.
I need to finish the stuffie for my eldest and make another for my baby.
That baby blanket is doggin' me too.
I so want to CO a beanie or socks for moi but I need to take care of some biz first.
    XO!

    1. Ahh the temptations! I often cannot help myself. I ended up doing some cross stitch yesterday and I did nearly finish the second sleeve. The one giving me the hairy eyeball as you put it is the "other" cardi I was working on first which seems to be sitting on the shelf a lot these days. Woops.

  3. I love the colour of the Jet wool you are using. I can't wait to see the finished sweater.

I love the Book Depository Ive bought some great craft books from there.

I was on your other blog sorry to hear about your skirt and tops. My partner took out 4 of his work shirts that I bought full price (most of our clothes are from the opp shop)by chucking a red tie-dyed shirt in the wash AAAARRRRHHHH

I love the Tree of Life sales. I live so far from the nearest Tree of Life shop now. I don't get down to Penrith much anymore.

    1. I was pleasantly surprised with the colour scheme of the wool. It looks much nicer knitted up. I am however a bit wary about how the pattern panels are going to look as I think it may be too much. Will see how it goes. I did manage to fix the shirts in the end. Not perfect but much cheaper than replacing them. We also don't really have a Tree of LIfe nearby. The one I visited was in Newcastle about and hour and a half drive away. We do have one closer but not locally.

  4. I haven't been crocheting much lately (too hot!) but I've been working on some felt animals as gifts. The scaled red dragon I've been working on is almost done - but won't get to my grandmother in Wales in time for her birthday (the 9th). I'm hoping to get it in the mail to her tomorrow. Then I have another dragon to do for another birthday on the 21st.

Your stuff is lovely as always. My crochet goal is to be as good as you!

  5. Oh I think you can crochet just as well as I can. Be brave. Remember I went from having no idea and making only blankets round and round to learning I was actually doing it wrong and making anything all at once. Once you can do the basic stitches you CAN make anything. I love your felt animals too they are so cute. I bet they are well received when gifted. :-)

  6. My, you're busy! Baby projects are so cute, I still have to start a baby project for my aunt that is pregnant. Good thing she is due in August, so I have a couple more months.
